portion of "Veil nebula" in Cygnus

 

Object Details:  The veil nebula  located about 1400 light years away near the constellation Cygnus, is the glowing filaments of gas from a supernova remnant- debris from a star which exploded over 5000 years ago.

 Cooling  water assist (aquarium chiller)
 Guider  self guided 1x1 4 sec  exposures
 Mount  Losmandy G11 w/dsc non- gemini
 Processing  CCDsoft,  Photoshop CS ( levels, curves, gaussian blur, usm) Russell Croman's Gradient X Terminator  (highly recommended !)
